The villa is a few minutes walk from the beautiful marina of Duquesa with a wide selection of restaurants and bars. There is a supermarket and several other shops in the marina but the nearby market town of Sabinillas has a large selection of shops.
Either side of the marina are two blue flag beaches with numerous beach bars. A walkway extends from the marina along the beach at Sabinillas which is a pleasant walk in the evenings when the market stalls open.
Gibraltar is about a 20 minute drive away and makes an interesting day out.

There are lots of interesting Spanish villages in the hills and the spectacular town of Ronda is well worth a visit.
There are various amusement and water parks for the children within a short drive.
